Communications

Communications has specific responsibilities for communications and engagement for Community, PIB Administration and Chief & Council, it is every Departments responsibility to engage in communications. In this way, PIB’s Communications is intended to guide all staff, and enhance the services we deliver by working across departments, enhancing the quality of our relationships, and practicing effective community engagement.

Guiding Principles

  1. Provide information that is timely, accurate, clear, accessible and responsive.
  2. Consider the different communication tools that we can use the most to address the needs associated with each circumstance and/or initiative.
  3. Work collaboratively across the departments within PIB Administration to ensure that information is thorough, factual and timely.
  4. Respect the access to information and privacy rights of members and staff.
  5. Support opportunities for engagement to inform and support all policies.
  6. Achieve a culture of two-way communication and communications excellence practices.
